What Is a Public Cloud?

Accounting

Public cloud is a new way of using could services with the public with the help of the internet. The public cloud services provided by the cloud providers to multiple customers. These providers offer the following types of services to customers:

  • Infrastructure
  •  platform
  •  software

Public club services run on the local servers which are provided by cloud providers on some monthly charges.

A public cloud is a shared platform where multiple users use the storage space at the same time. These types of services mostly owned, managed, and operated by large organizations, government organizations, businesses, etc. it requires a high level of security and infrastructure, techniques to manage and operate the services. Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Sun cloud are the best example of cloud. Nowadays they are ruling the market by providing services to the public.

Working of the Public Cloud

In the public cloud, users are allowed to share their resources, and while the provider will maintain the privacy of each users’ data. The cloud architecture is dependent on the virtualized environment. To run the virtual environment we require high-speed network connectivity to transfer the data. The main benefit of this architecture is you can use any device which is having an internet connection.

The public cloud providers are having a large number of customers, and each requires public cloud services to share their workload and infrastructure and give proper services to customers, this provider uses multi-tenant architecture. In this type of architecture, each user data is logically separated from another user and user data is isolated. Without details, no one is able to see the data. It is highly secured.

Cloud architecture is designed with different levels of boundaries so that user data does not lose. So your data is stored in different data centers and ensures that your data is protected.  When you require the data then you will recover it and this recovery process is fast and quick. This cloud architecture is categorized in three service models. That are:

public cloud model

Pros of Public Cloud

  •  Low Cost

Public cloud is less costly than private cloud, or hybrid cloud because it is using the sharable policy or share resources with a large number of consumers.

  • Independent Location

Internet is the only way to get public club services, so it is location-independent in nature.

  • Save Time

In the public cloud, the service provider only responsible for the data. Because data is stored in different data centers. All the maintenance of the data will be handled by the service providers.  So the users can get the data easily and quickly which saves their time. Providers all help users to establish connectivity with datacenters, by giving updates of the configurations, etc.

  • Quickly and easily set up

Organizations and users can easily buy cloud on the internet and so that they can easily download and install it on their local systems with the help of a cloud service provider within a few hours.

  • Business Agility

The cloud provides an ability to increase or re-size computer resources based on the organization’s requirements.

  • Scalability and reliability

The cloud offers easy-to-add and removes plug-ins and they are more reliable and one can use their services 24 hours with full accuracy at an affordable price.

Cons of Public Cloud

  • Low Security

Cloud is not fully secured way because there are shared resources with the public.

  •  Performance

In the public cloud, performance fully depends on the speed of the internet and the connectivity. If the connection is loose then performance will be less and if the server is down then the user will unable to work.

  •  Less customizable

Cloud is not customizable because there are uses the same framework for everyone.
